"I remember it like it was yesterday," Garr recalls. "Waking up on Christmas morning, seeing the Nintendo on the couch, and my very own copy of Super Mario Brothers. It was like a whole new world had opened up for me."

"To me, gaming is more than just spending money," Garr explains. "It's a chance to let my imagination run free. It's a way to engulf myself in a story and escape the negativity I may have to deal with. It means that for however long I am playing, I am my true self."

"My gaming journey started very young," Garr recalls. "I enjoyed reading a lot, but I never felt satisfied when I completed one or finished a project. Until I sat down, plugged in a console, and was able to finish that one quest, that one stage, that one boss. It has continued throughout the last 40 years, even in life, it allowed me to have goals and accomplish them."
Favorite Games and Genres: A Look into Garr's Gaming Preferences
So, what kind of games does Garr enjoy playing? His all-time favorite game is Final Fantasy 7, which he still replays to this day. He's also a big fan of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Legend of Dragoon, which he plays on repeat sometimes.
As for genres, Garr's favorite is RPGs, followed closely by ARPGs. There's something about immersing himself in a rich story, exploring new worlds, and conquering challenges that keeps him coming back for more.

"I stream because I enjoy interacting, having fun, and why play a game alone when you have a vast world of people with the same interests and like the same games as you?" Garr explains.

So, how did Garr come up with his username, GarrTheWeak? The story behind it is a fascinating one. Garr created a Goblin Monk character for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and the name stuck.
"I was at work when the name hit me," Garr recalls. "It was a low day for me, and I felt weak. But as I played the little goblin, and he got stronger, so did I. And my love for what that character, I created with my friends, has stuck ever since."

For Garr, the gaming community is a vital part of his gaming experience. He values the people he interacts with on stream, recognizing that they're giving up their time to watch and connect with him.
"I value the people I interact with on stream," Garr emphasizes. "They're giving up their time to watch me, talk to me, and enjoy what I enjoy. If even one time, for one second, my stream or something I say helps someone in my stream, that is a joy I can carry for the rest of my life."

"I have a humble outlook on my future in streaming,” Garr says. "I just want to continue doing what I love, surrounded by people who share my passion. I hope to inspire others to find joy in gaming, just as it has brought joy to my life. And as I look to the future, I'm excited to see where this journey takes me, and to share it all with my amazing community.”
